ABOUT THIS WORK:

My son and I recently took a trip to the zoo and I was so drawn to the mandril exhibit. As we’re walking up to him I was kind of disappointed because the mandril had his back to us. But then he stood up and revealed the most magnificently colored butt! I laughed thinking he really wants me to see what he thinks is special about himself, what makes him unique.

It inspired me to think about what we see when we look in the mirror - what is the reflection that we’re trying to project? What is that sassy, colorful, joyful edge to us that we want others to experience about us, and more importantly what we want to experience for ourselves? To tap into our true light and our true joy!
